Sarah is a Podcast to Profit grad and she’s talking with me today about how her business exploded while she was in my mastermind program. She’s making more money than ever before, and she’s going to break down how she was able to make that happen. How She Exploded Her Business and Made More Money in Less Time
Stef: Before we jump into talking all about Podcast to Profit, share with me what your podcast is called and what you do!
Sarah: My podcast is called “Mama Business” and it’s for moms who want to start an online business without sacrificing their family life. We focus on systemizing your business.
Stef: Sounds awesome! And how did you come to find me and make the decision to join Podcast to Profit?
Sarah: So I’m a big podcast listener and I actually heard you on a secular podcast. I was so excited to hear you talk about your faith and I knew I had to check you out. When I found your podcast I binged as much as I possibly could, and I knew there was no hesitation, I was going to take all your courses. I took Clarify Your Calling and as soon as it was done I put myself on the waitlist for Podcast to Profit and started taking Podcast Pro University while I waited.
I have never completed any courses before I came into your courses. It’s such a testament to the quality of everything you teach.
Stef: Thank you so much! I love that you found me on someone else’s podcast because that’s one of the many things we teach inside Podcast to Profit! Podcast guesting is so powerful and we show you how to get featured on other shows and how to strategically show up even if it’s not 100% our niche.
I also love that you binged my content. That’s what happens with everyone’s show when their person finds it. You consumed all the content, built trust with me, and then took all three of my courses.
The Beginning of Sarah’s Journey to Make More Money
Stef: Did you have a business when you started with me in Clarify Your Calling?
Sarah: So I was doing 1:1 website work before and I was doing that for years. I started my Mama Business podcast earlier in the year before I jumped into your courses, but it got put on hold. It was still very new when I started your courses!
Stef: And what was it like making the investment in yourself? I know some people are terrified to invest in themselves! How did you know it was going to be worth it to pay for these courses?
Sarah: I just know that when I invest in myself, I make better progress and open the potential to make more money. I see results as I am moving through a course because I’m focusing on that piece of my business. Even though it was a no-brainer to work with you, I still needed to sit down with my husband to talk about what kind of sacrifices we would need to make in order to make this investment happen. But I had the confidence that this would be something that would catapult my business and help me make more money.
Stef: And there can be so many fears that come up for people as they decide whether to invest or not. It’s not just money, it can be time, family and being present with their kids, worries about keeping up with the program. Was there anything else that came up for you?
Sarah: Childcare was a big one for me, as well as wondering how I was going to get everything done. You’re also showing up at certain times for the calls and childcare is not always reliable, so I definitely had some fears around that.
Stef: Yeah Podcast to Profit is a sprint season for sure, but most of it luckily is a flexible time commitment, you can do the homework at any time in the day.
Inside Podcast to Profit: What Sarah Experienced to Make Her More Money
Stef: So tell me what it was like inside Podcast to Profit!
Sarah: I loved your program. It was intense, but I loved the fact that there was no fluff at all. What you were giving us was necessary in order for us to make progress and more money. You did not waste our time at all. The real-time feedback was so helpful, it was great when you and Lydia let me know when I was getting off track. And the student community was amazing too!
Stef: I love that you brought that up because that’s just something you need to know about me. My biggest pet peeve is when I feel like I am wasting time. Time to me is more valuable than money. I’ve created this experience where we get in there and we cut straight to the chase.
Sarah: Yeah, there was no guesswork. You gave great examples in every training and would very clearly say when things were missing or needed to be fixed.
The Highlights of Podcast to Profit
Stef: What was your favorite part of the program?
Sarah: The spotlight calls were the best. No matter who you were talking to, I learned something from them.
Stef: I love them too! I love being able to listen to someone else get coached and apply it to my business. There’s no pressure when you’re not the one being coached! And sometimes you don’t know what to ask, so it helps you realize what you need to be doing in your business.
Was Podcast to Profit Worth It? Did It Help You Make More Money?
Stef: Let’s talk about your wins and outcomes! Give me those numbers!
Sarah: My overall ranking went from 5% globally to 2.5%. I was so excited to see it all move. And during my time in the program, I made the same amount of revenue to match the whole previous year. So I made more money in 3 months than I did in the entire year before.
Stef: That’s insane! Did all of that come from your podcast?
Sarah: Some of it did! Some of it also came from the networking I did with the other podcasters. Also during Podcast to Profit, my downloads increased by 143%. I had my biggest month last month and I’m on track to double it this month too. I’m also showing up on Apple podcasts for all of my keywords, which I’m super excited about.
I also have so much clarity about my course which I’m currently building out. I know exactly what to do every day.
Stef: I love that you bring up podcast SEO because that’s a big part of what I teach you. We talk about how to create highly converting podcast SEO keywords. There’s a strategy behind having keywords that captures a lead and gets them to click, listen, stay, subscribe, and then buy.
You Need to Put the Pieces of the Puzzle Together to Make More Money in Your Business
All these pieces that Sarah has talked about today are not things you can just do separately and then run with them. You need to have all the pieces of the puzzle together in order for it to work. Only once all the pieces are working together can you start making more money in your business. We saw from Sarah’s experience that going through everything the Stefanie Gass school has to offer has helped her get to a place where she can make more money easily. The courses gave her everything she needed, plus her heart and a little bit of hustle mixed in!
The only way we push past our upper limit is by showing up and doing hard things. But the beauty of that is you’re not doing hard things alone. You’re in a circle of other people doing hard things with you. The community and camaraderie inside help boost your confidence to show up and actually do the work.
