How much money to take to Vietnam for 2 weeks? (2024)

Question: My husband and I will travel to Vietnam for 2 weeks. We will begin from Hanoi and make our way to Ho Chi Minh City. We have already booked hotels at many destinations. And, we do not know how money to take to Vietnam to pay for eating, and drinking. Any suggestions and advice would be highly appreciated. (Laura Ms)

1) Noodle is great to taste:

• Noodle Soup in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City: from 60,000VND per bowl that’s enough for one meal.
• Bun Bo Hue in Hue City (Beef Noodle Soup): 50,000VND per bowl that’s enough for one meal.
• Grilled pork noodle in Ho Chi Minh: 40,000VND per bowl.
• Bun Cha in Hanoi: 60,000VND per bowl.

2) Spring rolls are served in many cities in Vietnam. Average of spring roll dishes with 5 short rolls is 50,000VND.

3) Pancake has deference price.

• Banh Xeo – Pancake in Ho Chi Minh City: 80,000VND/big pancake; 50,000VND/small one
• Banh Xeo in Hoi An & Da Nang: 20,000VND/pancake
