One can make the summary more attractive by making it Comprehensive, brief and concise, free of judgements, coherent and independent.
- Comprehensive: While jotting down the main text's essential points, one should ensure that it covers all the significant topics and signifies the text's main idea.
- Brief and Concise: The summary is shorter than the actual text and while penning down a summary one should avoid repetition and make it short and crisp so that it becomes more attractive to the readers.
- Free of Judgements: While forming a summary one should not include their views and opinions or be judgemental about the author's point of view but rather respect their viewpoints and mention it as it is.
- Coherent: The important points which make a summary should not be vague or senseless, the sentences are to be framed in such a way that the reader understands what is the actual meaning of the main text.
- Independent: One does not have to quote the author but rather form the summary in their own words based on their understanding and also take care of not misinterpreting what the author tried to portray.
