To keep the names and e-mail addresses of people included on a personal distribution list private, or hidden, use the Bcc field. Notes: It's not possible to display the distribution list name in the To box without allowing recipients to expand it and show the entire list of names and e-mail addresses.

To send emails to small groups where everybody knows each other, use the Cc field. Enter all of the addresses there, separated by commas. To hide addresses, use the Bcc field, just like the Cc field. No one will be able to see the addresses added in this field.
How to send an email in Outlook without showing recipients? ›

Create a distribution list (group)
- Select Teams and groups > Active teams and groups > Distribution lists.

When sending emails in Outlook, you can hide your email address by creating an alias. To create an alias, go to the Outlook Settings page and select “Manage aliases.” From there, you can create a new alias and use it to send emails.

Protecting Email Address Privacy
When you place email addresses in the BCC field of a message, those addresses are invisible to the recipients of the email. Conversely, any email addresses that you place in the To field or the CC field are visible to everyone who receives the message.

The simple answer is no. No one in the To, Cc, or Bcc lines will know who was Bcc'd. Only the sender can look in their sent folder to see the full list of who received the mail.
