OPT Student Health InsurancePlan Deductibles

It’s important to understand the necessary deductible amounts for Health insurance for OPT students; you will always need to have this amount available when getting medical or travel services. The Maximum Limit

These start out at $50,000 and go up incrementally in the following amounts: $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. These limits will only be paid after you pay the deductible amount for OPT student health insurance.

Personal Liability

In the event that you become liable for another person’s injuries or damage to their property, you can be covered by OPT student health insurance for it. The coverage will pay up to $100 per day of inpatient hospitalization. There is no deductible.

There is a $25,000 lifetime maximum for personal liability provided by OPT student health insurance and a $25,000 maximum for third-person injury. For third-person property, there is a $25,000 maximum and only $2,500 for the related third-person property. There is no deductible or overall maximum limit.

You will be covered by a limit of up to $10,000 by OPT student health insurance (unless you buy additional coverage – up to $100,000), to cover costs related to kidnapping, ransom, expenses for crisis response, and the loss of personal possessions. Costs of negotiations and the coordination of law enforcement costs are included.

When you go to the emergency room in the US for an illness, you will need to pay an additional $200.00 deductible each time you go even if you have OPT student health insurance. If you go because of an injury, there is no additional deductible. If you travel to the hospital via ambulance, Atlas OPT student health insurance will pay for reasonable and customary charges if you are admitted into the hospital. There is also coverage for complications during the first 26 weeks of pregnancy. During a hospital stay, the coverage provided by medical insurance for opt students is for an average semi-private room and includes nurse care.

In the US, for a non-life-threatening emergency, when you go to a network Urgent Care you will need to pay a $15 co-payment even if you have purchased medical insurance for opt, students –unless you have the plan with $0 deductible. An in-network Urgent Care visit does not have a deductible amount. If there is an acute onset of a non-chronic pre-existing condition and you are under 70, claims can be paid up to the maximum limit. For those who are 70 – 79, there is a $100,000 limit. There is a $25,000-lifetime maximum provided by medical insurance for opt, students if you need Emergency Medical Evacuation.

If there is an acute dental pain to sound natural teeth, Atlas covers Emergency Dental care, up to $300.

In the event that you or your loved ones may need to be evacuated home from a foreign country, the Health Insurance for OPT Students provides coverage for the return of minors to your home country and has a limit of $50,000 without a deductible. If you need to return a pet to your home country, there is a limit of $1,000 provided by OPT student health insurance with no deductible.

OPT students may also encounter natural disasters. When your accommodations are destroyed or unusable, Atlas OPT student health insurance will provide you with replacement accommodations of up to $250 per day for a total of five days. If a political evacuation is needed, there is a $100,000-lifetime maximum and a deductible will not be required.

The Emergency Travel Benefits coverage provided by medical insurance for OPT students does not include visiting a country that has been given a level 3 or level 4 travel advisory by the U.S. Department of State.
