Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) offers several key benefits:Financial Performance: Many SRI funds have shown competitive returns compared to traditional investments, disproving the myth that ethical investments yield lower returns.Risk Mitigation: Incorporating ESG criteria can help investors avoid companies with poor governance or environmental risks, potentially leading to more stable investments.Positive Impact: SRI allows investors to contribute positively to societal and environmental causes, aligning investment portfolios with personal values.Market Influence: Growing interest in SRI can encourage companies to adopt better practices, leading to broader positive societal impacts.Importance of SRIEnvironmental Sustainability: Supports companies that are environmentally responsible, helping combat climate change and encouraging sustainable practices.Social Equity: Promotes social justice and labor rights, investing in companies that prioritize employee welfare, community engagement, and ethical practices.Governance and Ethics: Encourages good corporate governance, transparency, and ethical business operations, leading to more accountable and sustainable business practices.SRI is not just about avoiding harm; it's about actively contributing to a better world through informed, ethical investment choices.

My view?Clarity is required first. Then an appropriate initiative or response can be formulated. This can be focussed. It can be aligned with the context. And so focus, then effectiveness, and efficiency can be achieved. This all starts with clarity.Without this, the best, most positive intentions can be misguided, misaligned, and therefore ineffective or inefficient- in fact, potentially irrelevant.Start with getting clarity- it all can stem from there.

I endorse this 100%.Making a personal connection with your colleagues is important for trust and collaboration. Empowering those around you is empowering the team as a whole, a true leader accepts that they don't have all of the answers. Working with people who do not have ethics is a natural disaster waiting to happen. Being empathetic allows your colleagues to know that you see them as people and that you understand that "life" happens and we should always understand that people's lives change in an instant...including your own.Self awareness is key to being part of a successful team. Don't take things personal, apologize when needed, be understanding towards others and offering advice in a kind way as it's better than serving it on a cold platter. Take accountability for yourself as a leader and for your team, specifically in the bad times. Showing them that you take responsibility for those not so favorable outcomes on their behalf will always encourage them to deliver the best work that they can. On the flip side of that, ensuring that positive outcomes are directed to your team members is a bragging right all in its own...I'm a firm believer that the successes come from the team, the failures come from the leadership of the team.

We are not our experiences, we have experiences. Every experience is temporary and a learning and growth opportunity. I have discovered through my personal experiences with severe dis-ease, abuse and betrayal, that we choose to RESET HEAL THRIVE from our experiences. The healing process is started and nourished, daily, by choosing to consciously evolve our thinking (mindset, attitude) and behaviour (effort, action) from our experience; Then moving forward applying our new conscious thinking and behaviour to our unique life experience. We are never too old and it's never too late for new beginnings. The healing, healthy, strong, fit, joyful and thriving adaptation happens at any age. https://lnkd.in/gAEtaYn
