Glamrock Freddy is one of the new Glamrock Animatronics who appears as the deuteragonist in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, acting as a guardian for Gregory. He is the Glamrock version of Freddy Fazbear, and the lead singer of the Glamrock band. Freddy returns in the RUIN DLC, as a minor antagonist.

Appearance[]
Normal[]
Glamrock Freddy is based off the original Freddy Fazbear, but with an early UK 1970s vibe. Similar to Toy Freddy, he has a top hat, now with a thin blue stripe just above its brim. His microphone is now on a stand in which Glamrock Freddy holds, and is a more rectangular shape. A light blue stripe is seen in the center of his bottom jaw. Around Glamrock Freddy's eyes is sky blue face-paint with a thinner bright red outline. Glamrock Freddy's teeth also resemble those of real bears, including 4 sharp canine teeth. Additionally, he has a red earring on his left ear and a light blue lightning bolt on his chest.
Glamrock Freddy holds a compartment inside his chest cavity that can be opened via his stomach plate. Just like all the other Glamrocks, his eyes can be seen glowing red at times. When fully upgraded, his hands are replaced by Monty's, gaining his purple gloves and green fingers, and his bowtie becomes purple to signify Chica's upgrade. His eyes also become yellow due to belonging to Roxy, however outside of a few of the comic book endings, his eyes remain glowing white in-game, with some endings reverting them back to being blue.
Shattered[]
In the Disassemble Vanny ending, Freddy gets shattered by multiple S.T.A.F.F. Bots, causing him to have a massive hole in his chest, as well as his legs and arms gaining multiple large cracks and holes. Both his hands, as well as his lower jaw, no longer have their suit on them, revealing only the endoskeleton. Freddy also holds a few other minor changes, such as his right eye having a hole around it, his left ear being cracked, and his left spike bracelet peeling off.
Ruined[]
Ruined Glamrock Freddy has an extremely similar appearance to his shattered counterpart, with the one key difference being the complete and total lack of a head. Despite this, Freddy still seems to be able to locate the player, unlike characters like Roxy, who is completely blind at the loss of her eyes. Freddy also uses the broken hatches on his stomach as a makeshift mouth, chomping them together whilst chasing the player, and even opening them up to roar. Despite not being present on his other models, the word "Prototype" can be seen written on Freddy's foot, and a small, crumpled green gift-box can be found in his broken stomach hatch.
Personality[]
During the Events of Security Breach, Glamrock Freddy is a naturally very friendly and caring character, as well as being somewhat naive at times. He expresses great care for Gregory, as well as the other Glamrocks, claiming them to be friends. He will even express concern for them following any Parts and Service upgrades, as the parts used are taken directly from the others. On top of this, when being brought to the Bonnie Bowl stage, Freddy expresses that he misses Bonnie.
Gameplay[]
Security Breach[]
Glamrock Freddy within the game is Gregory's protector attempting to help him survive until 6am and escape, with the player being able to climb into his stomach's Birthday Cake hatch and take control of him to hide from and evade the other Animatronics in certain sections. However, his usage is limited, as he will lose power and need to be recharged before being used again. His power can be replenished by entering a recharge station. If the player presses "Q" or "L1" while away from Freddy, he'll quickly run over to wherever the player is standing. Freddy will even teleport closer to the location if he is too far away. For example, if Freddy is left behind on the stage, but is called whilst in Fazer Blast, he will walk into the room from around the nearest corner).
After Glamrock Freddy is taken away by The Daycare Attendant, he is found in Parts and Service, where the player must complete a color matching Simon Says minigame to reattach his head. From this point onwards in the game, Freddy will kill Gregory when his battery runs out of power. Whenever one of the other Glamrocks is decommissioned, their parts can be taken and used to upgrade Freddy, prompting a similar Simon Says minigame. The upgrades done will give Freddy new abilities; Monty's claws allow Freddy to break down certain fences, Chica's voicebox allows Freddy to create a vocal pitch that will stun animatronics and open other fences, and Roxanne's eyes allow Freddy to see collectibles through walls.
During the final bossfight, Freddy is hacked by Burntrap, and stands in the middle of the room as a hazard. If Burntrap hacks him, he will kill Gregory, either by chasing him down or pulling Gregory out of his stomach if the player had entered beforehand. Gregory can still lure Freddy out of the way by calling him over to a different spot.
RUIN[]
Glamrock Freddy's role is significantly smaller in RUIN than it is in the base game. Glamrock Freddy, or Ruined Freddy, holds the role of a minor enemy encountered only within of Fazer Blast. When he initially found by Cassie, Freddy is inactive lying under rubble. However, he quickly awakens to the sound of Cassie's voice, and begins to immediately chase her through Fazer Blast. Once Cassie finds the AR Inhibitor in the location, Freddy bursts through a wall ahead of her and begins to approach. After the inhibitor is deactivated, Cassie is able to put on the Security Mask, allowing her to pass by Freddy without either of them seeing each other. Freddy does not appear again after this encounter.
Help Wanted 2[]
Glamrock Freddy appears in the Cold Storage level, where the player is tasked with removing Jimmy's birthday cake from his stomach hatch. Before doing so, the player must first defrost both of his arms with the heat gun. Once done these arms will be re-opened by using shape tools on the player's worktable (circle-shaped tool for the left arm, square-shaped tool for the right). For the left arm, the battery inside must be removed & replaced with a newer one, but the player must defrost the ice the faulty battery is stuck to before replacing it. The diagnostic machine must then be inserted in Freddy's right arm. After both tasks are done, the player must press a button on the mini-monitor to their left, as it starts to load. Sparks will start appearing near the battery, so the player must keep the area where the battery is inserted cool.
Once the mini-monitor has fully loaded, the player must press the button to its right, letting them remove Freddy's eyes, & thereafter, honk his nose, gaining access to his mouth. Beneath it is a button the player must press quickly as to not get bitten by Freddy. When this has been accomplished, the player can remove the stomach hatch & cool down the wirings inside. The hatch opens after a short amount of time, finally letting the player take out the birthday cake. However, Freddy will receive a cake removal alert, & the cake to the right must be put inside his chest cavity. Glamrock Freddy congratulates the player as the level ends.
Trivia[]
- Glamrock Freddy's design got leaked on a 2021 calendar along with Roxanne Wolf and Montgomery Gator, but Scott later confirmed the designs on it were early concept art.[1]
- Glamrock Freddy's voice was revealed at the end of the Security Breach trailer.
- This is further proven by the 12" figurine showing Glamrock Freddy holding Gregory inside of his chest cavity, implying that he was the one speaking to Gregory at the end of the trailer.
- Kirin, the CEO of Illumix, confirmed in her interview with Dawko that they have plans to add the four Glamrock Animatronics to FNaF AR after Security Breach is released. This, however, never went through, and none of the Security Breach characters were ever added to the game.
- Glamrock Freddy has taken Freddy's role as the face on Fazbear Entertainment's logo.
- Glamrock Freddy's movements and poses during the intro cutscene take heavy inspiration from similar ones done by Freddie Mercury.
- Despite being upgraded with Roxanne's eyes, Freddy's eyes are only ever yellow in the VIP Ending, as his eyes glow white during gameplay.
- All other endings show him with his usual blue eyes, despite his eye upgrade being required for each ending.
- Shattered Freddy previously had no official model, until a promotional image for a Halloween Sale was released featuring him alongside the other Shattereds.
- The model even appears to use the unused textures found in the files, which were previously only used for Shattered Monty's legs.
- Due to Ruined Freddy lacking a head, it is possible that the Princess Quest ending is the canon ending to Security Breach. Though this is purely speculation.
- This is furthered by the lack of Vanny or Vanessa, as well as the references to the game inside Vanny's hideout.
- Freddy does not speak at all in RUIN, mainly due to him lacking a head.
- It is heavily speculated that Ruined Freddy might be a different character. This is mainly due to the presence of the word "Prototype" on its foot, which was not present on the original model for Glamrock Freddy.
- Other evidence for this includes the mild discoloration on Ruined Freddy compared to Glamrock Freddy, as well as the presence of a green gift box inside his broken stomach hatch.
- However, it is unconfirmed on if the two are separate or not.
