PGA of America & Omni Resort
In December 2018, the PGA of America announced plans to move its headquarters from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, to Frisco, where it will anchor a 660-acre mixed-use development with a public-private investment worth more than half a billion dollars. Two championship golf courses are being built at PGA Frisco, as well as a short course and practice areas, totaling 46 holes. The new PGA of America headquarters will become home to national player development and coaching programs. PGA Frisco will host an unprecedented cadence of championships, with 23 already scheduled over a 13-year span.
The project also includes a 500+ room Omni PGA Frisco Resort, a 127,000-square-foot conference center, miles of trails, a retail district and more. The grand opening for the overall development is currently scheduled for spring 2023.
Fields Frisco
Located on the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 380 and Preston Road, Fields, a 2,544-acre mixed use development, is a project of Hunt Realty Investments and Karahan Companies. Development began in 2021.
The Link
The Link is a $1 billion, 240-acre mixed-use addition to PGA Frisco. It willinclude a mix of Class A office, destination retail, luxury residential, dynamic entertainment, boutique hospitalityand sports-focused wellness uses. The project will havedirect connection to the Omni PGA Frisco Resort and is expected to break ground in 2022.
University ofNorth Texas
Ground has been broken on the UNT at Frisco campus. The $100 million investment will start with roughly 3,500 students in classes in 2023 and reach a potential of 25,000 students in 25 to 30 years. The facility will serve as a satellite campus of main UNT campus and will span100+ acres at the corner of Preston and Panther Creek. UNT at Frisco will be the only4-year, Tier 1 Research University in Frisco.
The Gate
This $700-million luxurious mixed-use development is set on a 41-acre campus and features 900,000 square feet of Class A office space over three buildings, a 225-room hotel, two high-rise condo towers, and room for 100,000 square feet of restaurants and retail.
Music Street Frisco
Music Street Frisco is a 6.7-acre, $38.5 million entertainment complex that will include a 1,002-seat indoor performance hall, a 390-seat outdoor performance stage and multiple restaurants. Dallas-based Hodges Architecture, renowned for designing theaters and entertainment venues nationally, has created the preliminary plans for Music Street. Hodges Architecture is currently developing the detailed construction plans. Music Street Frisco is currently under construction.
Marriott Property at Frisco Market Center
A Marriott property has been announced for Frisco Market Center, the shopping and entertainment district located just west of the North Dallas Tollway at Main Street. The property will have 148 rooms and is currently under construction.
