I had the pleasure of attending CIONET Fest this week in München.There I enjoyed meeting Daniel Gebler, Founder and CTO of Picnic - a €1.3B ARR and 15k employee company.As Daniel gave his Key Note, he opened my eyes to the transformative power of cognitive diversity in the workplace.It goes beyond the mix of nationalities, genders, identities, etc. by looking to the value of embracing and leveraging cognitive differences for our success.For example, there is a benefit from hiring a person who does not seem to "fit" our organization in terms of education and background. Or, those who are outside our own industry. Here's what I learned:1. Cognitive diversity drives performance.2. Adaptability is key in hiring, not just skills.3. Failure is an essential part of innovation.4. Teams need a balance of talent to thrive.5. Organizational agility is crucial for growth.High-Performance Teams demand diversity. 7 Cloud Engineers Didn't Know.Do You?I’ve had 7 conversations about this at #CloudFest.Zero Cloud Engineers knew the answer.Do you?Here's the question:If you quit your job today, what would it cost your employer to replace you?Everyone should know this.Because if you don’t know your value, you can’t build a better life.How do you calculate it?Precise numbers are hard to quantify because they vary by employer.But a Rule-of-Thumb attributed to a Harvard University Study estimates it being at least 3 times your total monthly compensation... for each and every month the vacancy goes unfilled.Bitkom recently reported that the average vacancy time for Cloud Engineers is currently 231 days in Germany.Ponder that.Let’s assume you earn €100,000/y. Soon, Every CompanyWill be an AI-Company.Christian Jaeger and his team hit a homerun with the Intel AI Summit.The event showcased an indepth AI portfolio, highlighting scalable AI systems, deep learning, and general-purpose acceleration with tools like OpenVINO and TensorFlow. They also discussed advancements in AI processors, which are improving AI-task performance. Key points included an AI Accelorater and Developer Cloud for creating and deploying AI applications. They highlighted the economic potential of AI and its challenges.. such as complexity, operationalizing, and data security. And they reinforced the commitment to responsible AI technology.
