Rochester, N.Y. — Danny Wegman's new car is drawing loads of attention and it's easy to see why.

The red 2015 Ferrari SP America is one of a kind. It was custom designed and built for Wegman by Pininfarina, an Italian firm, according to a story on the car in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle.

Wegman is CEO of the Wegmans grocery store chain.

Sam Shur, a sports car enthusiast and photographer, spotted the ride in the parking lot of the Pittsford Wegmans in September, according to the Democrat & Chronicle. He spent about an hour taking pictures of the car before Wegman arrived, loaded up his groceries and drove off.

The pictures have been spreading across social media since Shur posted some of them to a website for fans of luxury sports cars. The post has been liked on Facebook more than 539,000 times.

The car is based on a Ferrari F12berlinetta, according to the Democrat & Chronicle. F12s go for more than $322,000, according to Car and Driver.

Given the degree of customization involved in Wegman's car, it no doubt cost more. The Wegman family has net worth of about $3 billion, according to Forbes.

As a seasoned automotive enthusiast with an extensive background in the luxury sports car scene, I'm here to shed light on the intriguing story featuring Danny Wegman's exclusive 2015 Ferrari SP America. My passion for automobiles and in-depth knowledge of the industry allows me to dissect this article with a keen eye for detail.

Firstly, let's address the central figure in this narrative, Danny Wegman. As the CEO of the Wegmans grocery store chain, Wegman is not just a prominent business figure but also an individual with a penchant for exquisite automobiles. Now, let's delve into the specifics of his remarkable vehicle.

The 2015 Ferrari SP America is undoubtedly a showstopper, and its uniqueness lies in being a custom design by the renowned Italian firm, Pininfarina. Pininfarina has a storied history in crafting iconic and bespoke designs for various luxury car manufacturers. Their involvement in creating Wegman's Ferrari adds a layer of exclusivity to an already prestigious brand.

The car itself is based on the Ferrari F12berlinetta, a model known for its high-performance capabilities and a price tag that exceeds $322,000, as reported by Car and Driver. However, Wegman's version, given its custom nature, undoubtedly commands a higher price point. The level of customization involved in creating this one-of-a-kind vehicle is a testament to Wegman's discerning taste and, of course, his substantial financial capacity.

A noteworthy aspect is the attention the car garnered when spotted in the parking lot of the Pittsford Wegmans by Sam Shur, a sports car enthusiast and photographer. Shur's hour-long photo session captured the essence of Wegman's luxury ride, and the images quickly gained traction on social media, particularly on a website dedicated to luxury sports car enthusiasts. The fact that the post received over 539,000 likes on Facebook underscores the widespread fascination with Wegman's unique automotive acquisition.

In conclusion, Danny Wegman's 2015 Ferrari SP America is not merely a mode of transportation; it's a statement of opulence, personalized to reflect the tastes of a discerning individual. The convergence of Italian craftsmanship, automotive engineering prowess, and Wegman's distinctive preferences has resulted in a vehicle that transcends its utilitarian function, becoming a symbol of prestige and exclusivity within the automotive world.
