China Minimum Monthly Wages

In China, minimum wage refers to the minimum monthly wage in Shanghai (as it is the highest figure). It was introduced in 1994 but was only implemented in March 2004. China does not set on minimum wage for the entire nation. Instead, each province, city or other administrative units sets its own minimum wage according to its local economic conditions. The minimum wage is divided into two kinds: monthly minimum wage applies to full-time workers and hourly minimum wage applies to part-time workers.
