Overview – What is the Canadian Securities Course?

The Canadian Securities Course (CSC®) at Ashton College is the perfect preparation for writing the CSC® exam and attaining your CSC® designation. The Canadian Securities Course is the industry standard for those entering the financial services and it is used by serious investors across Canada. Passing the CSC® exam sets you up for a fulfilling career within the financial sector.

Ashton College's Partnership with CSI

The Canadian Securities Course (CSC®) at Ashton College is offered in partnership with the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). Students will receive a 10% discount on CSI registration and textbooks. Successful completion of the CSC® prepares students to write the CSC Exams through theCanadian Securities Institute(CSI) and then apply for a mutual fund license. It is the first step toward attaining a licence for trading stocks and bonds, and it allows students to proceed with the Canadian Investment Manager or Financial Management Adviser designation streams. Ashton College students will receive a link to order their materials at a 10% discount.

Neal is a professional and dynamic individual with an extensive business background, including being part of a high-performing investment advisory team at Canada’s largest financial institution, as well as working in the insurance and real estate industries. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has received designations from the UBC Sauder School of Business, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the Canadian Securities Institute, the Insurance Council of British Columbia, and Toastmasters International. He is passionate about teaching and sharing his knowledge with others.

Obada Al-Dimashki

His teaching has covered several business topics including international business, finance, supply chain and management. Along with his teaching, His industry experience includes international supply chain management at a major industrial group and he has served as a reserve Combat Logistics Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Jason Wong

Jason started his career through the financial advisory channel in one of the major banks. He then moved on to the independent channel to assist his individual and business clients in achieving their financial goals through comprehensive financial planning. Jason is also a consultant supporting financial advisers in providing wealth management solutions to their clients. Jason holds several industry accreditations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and Derivative Market Specialist (DMS). He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manchester, one of the top global business schools according to the Financial Times Global MBA rankings.
