How to use a BPI cash accept machine? ›

Find an ATM that accepts cash deposits: Use your bank's website or mobile app to locate an ATM that allows cash deposits. Not all ATMS have this feature, so it's important to confirm ahead of time.

While financial institutions typically don't restrict how much cash you can deposit at an ATM, you will generally face a limit on how many bills you can insert into the machine at one time. For example, an ATM might accept only 40 bills at a time, regardless of the denominations.

It's OK. The ATM will recount the cash that had been sucked back in again. The cash total will then be credited back to your bank account.

Possible reasons could be improperly following prompts on the screen, inserting the cash incorrectly, or attempting to deposit some money with an out-of-network ATM.

Most banks don't allow you to deposit cash at an ATM that's out-of-network. The banks that do accept cash deposits through out-of-network ATMs often charge an extra fee — and, typically, require longer processing periods.

Not all ATMs accept cash. Often, banks mainly accept cash deposits at branch ATMs or machines that are part of a more extensive ATM network. In India at this point in time ATMs are only accepting cash for bank accounts of their own bank. This service is free of charge.

Deposit limits: Just like banks set daily withdrawal limits from ATMs, many set daily cash deposit limits as well, typically around $4,000 to $5,000. Some also limit the number of bills you can deposit at any given time, regardless of how much money they add up to.

Can I deposit 2000 cash in ATM? ›

The RBI has stated that there is no deposit limit for Rs. 2000 notes. But, the general KYC and other cash deposit statutory norms will apply.
