Hey there š,
Welcome to the blog income report of March 2021, where I made over $9264 off of this blog.
If youāre new to this blog and unfamiliar with the whole āIncome Reportā thing, let me tell you what goes down in a typical income report such as this!
A blog income report is usually a recap of a blog in a period of time (monthly or yearly), where the person writing the blog shares the income generated, received traffic, and other blog updates for that particular period of time.
Kind of like a ābehind-the-scenesā for a website that is usually kept away from general blog visitors. Not all websites do this, but some do, and I happen to be someone who does ( the reason is mentioned below).
Obviously, there isnāt some strict format when it comes to writing an income report that everyone has to follow, itās your blog, and you decide what you want to share, but how much and from where you made the total income is always included, hence the name āIncome reportā.
This also helps aspiring bloggers or people who want to make money on the side to get a glimpse of the real numbers that can ultimately help them in some form.
As I have already said a zillion times on this blog (to the point that some might find it annoying to reread this š) that seeing and following othersā income reports is what got me into starting my own blog.
Moving on,
March was another high-performing month in terms of traffic and overall income generated. Comparing this monthās income to the one of last year (March 2020, back when I havenāt started publishing income reports yet), it grew over 3.5 times.
Thatās some real growth! š
Iām proud and utterly grateful to say that Iāve been able to make close to $10k a month consistently for a few months now.
As you might know, publishing income reports is one of the few things I really look forward to every single month; no matter if itās a low or high month, I JUST LOVE IT!
I still remember the first few months when I started this blog, all confused when I thought getting at least $500 a month would mean so much to me.
As a college kid who wasnāt interested in his major anymore, I constantly contemplated my options on how can I build something so that I donāt have to take a job in software engineering. What if this whole ābloggingā thing doesnāt work out for me?
I graduated last year, and to be able to make so much straight out of college isnāt something Iāve been able to digest yet, honestly speaking.
And every now and then, I tend to think that this is some long-term fluke that is going to end any day now š.
But thatās probably not true!
I know I have a lot to learn, a lot more to grow, and Iām sure this is just the beginning.
These income reports arenāt just a reflection of my progress and my journey as a new blogger. Apart from something to look back on, these income reports serve two essential purposes,
#1 has to do with you (i.e. the reader), and #2 with Me!

Iāve also created a segregated list for you if youāre interested in blogging, making money through blogging, getting traffic, or anything blogging related in general.

Why do I publish my income reports?
Because I am a jerk, who likes to brag on the internetā¦ JK š!
The income reports are a self-documented report of my blogging journey so far, the monthly progress of a brand new blogger, an inexperienced college student who just wanted to build a full-time income stream.
And thus, I wanted to share all that it took me to make this happen. But will it help or harm me?
Nobody wants to share something that is so personal and potentially vulnerable to their competitors just to show off.
But these kinds of āinside peekā blog posts often come with some surprising benefits.
For example, Iām publishing these income reports for two primary reasons:
- To motivate you
- To motivate me
Let me explainā¦
1. It motivates people to start something for themselves
Itās no secret that people are largely motivated by results!
Are you ever inspired by a tiring workout? Probably not, you are inspired to have a well-shaped body which is the end result, and thus you work out.
Itās not the process that gets people moving but the euphoric feeling to have achieved the end goal that motivated them to start in the first place.
Hence, I share my results to motivate people who are on the fence.
And if, after seeing my results, you do decide to start your own blog, Iāll say this article served its purpose well.
As I already mentioned before, my first impression of this whole blogging industry was through an income report of a wildly successful blogger who had 6-figures in her monthly income reports.
And that was enough to start my very own blog.
Witnessing someone make hundreds of thousands of dollars in a month working for nobody but themselves really gave me a strong dose of motivation.
I wanted those results and the financial freedom that comes with them.
By giving you the inside scoop of what a blog really makes (which is usually kept hidden), by giving you those exact income digits, itāll show you what is really possible and hopefully motivate you enough to start your own blog.
2. It motivates me NOT to get comfortable
Publishing my progress and the journey online for people to read also benefits me in certain ways.
Sure, I make a little ad income every time people read through an article like this but thatās not the most valuable thing Iām acquiring here.
When I have a like-minded community that monitors and analyses my progress over time, it makes me do things more sincerely and responsibly. And this makes me want to give my 110% in everything I do on this blog.
In short, It keeps me in check when it comes to slacking off.
Moreover, it will help me to keep track of the blog like a well-sorted document and how far the blog has come in terms of growth, both readers and income.
Now letās jump right into the income breakdown of March 2021.

Blog Expenses for March 2021
SOURCE | AMOUNT |
Blog Hosting | $34.95 |
Email Service Provider | $99 |
Canva Pro | $12.95 |
TOTAL | $146.9 |
Blog expenses usually remain the same every single month, I rarely have to pay anything outside this $147.
Those expenses may include a premium theme, I use GeneratePress ($59 paid yearly), a new phone (once every 2 to 4 years or so), or a laptop (once every 3 to 6 years or so), or literally anything else.
So if you think you have to pay a lot more once you grow your blog to keep it running, not true!
You can start your blog by paying $2.95 a month and can opt for premium themes and hosting later when you make good money off of your blog, which is totally optional.

143,213 Pageviews (-7.92% since February 2021)
119,094 Sessions (-6.84% since February 2021)
The majority of the traffic that this blog receives (more than 95%) comes from Pinterest.
No significant traffic from Google yet, thatās probably because I still have a lot to do in terms of SEO to make that happen.
Iām waiting for the day when Google traffic overtakes Pinterest traffic (given, Pinterest traffic remains over 100k) and I might just host a $500 giveaway to my readers ( just to say thank you).
On the fence about starting a blog?
You should give it a chance, hereās why!
Building a personal brand not only helps you make money but it might drive to financial freedom. To not be able to depend on others and/or not having to tolerate your 9 to 5 just to make a living is the definition of time and money freedom.
Other perks about blogging are:
- You donāt need any technical or coding knowledge prior to starting a blog.
- Starting a blog is super cheap (only $2.95 a month)
- You can create your blog on any topic you like or passionate about, ANYTHING!
- Create a passion project under your own name ( Example: yourname.com, I have another blog other than this which is in my name, sayanneogie.com)
- High-income potential (a lot of established bloggers make over $100,000 a month)
- What do you have to lose? (other than those $2.95/month, a cup of coffee is more expensive than this)
Hereās how to start your own blog in 10 minutes:

Blog Updates:
The new homepage and category pages went live last month, and I am trying to fill up good content in the āComing soonā areas as soon as possible. Hopefully, thatāll be donāt before May hits, Iāll let you know next time.
While writing this I realized how quickly the first quarter of 2021 just flew by and it made me think about what goals I have in my mind for this blog that I would like to accomplish before the year ends. They were:
- Monthly Traffic goals:350,000
- Monthly Income goal:$20,000
- New blog post addition:100
- Total email Subscribers:20,000
Seems like almost everything in the list above has to be a little more than the double compared to the current stats in 9 months!
(no pressure š¬)
In my two years of blogging, Iāve learned that income growth in a business can be exponential (unlike pay hikes in jobs), you can have the same numbers for 6-7 months straight, and suddenly that may grow 3 folds in a matter of two months, I know because it has happened to this blog last year.
So I have hope, the goal might be difficult be it certainly is possible.
Thatās it, folks!
Thank you so much for reading, if youāre able to reach the end of this page, thank you so much for taking the time of your day to read this, I owe you a pizza.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or something you want to let me know, feel free to comment down and Iāll get back to you.
See you next time! Byeeeeeeeeā¦
