Camping in Straits State Park in St. Ignace is a rustic alternative to staying in one of the many Mackinac Island hotels. Only 1 mile from the ferry docks, the park was established in 1924, and 270 campsites rest throughout 181 acres that overlook the Straits of Mackinac and Lake Huron.

Lakeshore RV Park & Campground

Just 4 miles from Mackinac Island ferry docks, Lakeshore RV Park & Campground is a full-service park that’s open from May through mid-October. Both the RV and tent campsites have electricity, sewer, and water hookups.

Picnic tables, fire rings, and a bathhouse with restrooms are a few of the notable amenities. The campground even has satellite and Wi-Fi access.

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping

You can reserve a campsite at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, which is only about 2.5 miles from ferry docks to Mackinac Island. The tent and RV sites feature full hookups.
