Note: it’s important that you use the name you assigned to your ADT home automation devices in the Pulse portal and the voice code you set up in the Alexa app as part of the command. For commands that require a voice code, you’ll say: “Alexa, disarm my system.” Then it’ll prompt you for the voice code as a response.

Adding Alexa voice integration to your ADT system is as easy as adding a new skill to Alexa. Once it's set up, you can access the ADT app with your voice. Then ask Alexa to arm or disarm your system, control your lights and locks, and even open or close your garage door.
In the Alexa app, you can create custom speaker groups, such as "Upstairs," "Bedrooms," or "Downstairs." You can also just say, "Alexa, play music everywhere,” and music or audio will play together on all the supported devices throughout your home. “Alexa, play music everywhere.”
There's a lot to like about ADT's Alexa skill. You can use it to arm and disarm your security system. You can dim the lights, lock the doors, and adjust your temperature. Alexa, disarm ADT.
To set up Alexa Guard on your Amazon Echo device, open the Alexa app on your smartphone, and go to More > Settings > Guard > Set Up Sound Detection. Then select the alerts you want to enable, and tap Done. Open the Alexa app on your smartphone.
With home monitoring enabled on your device, you can use the camera of your Echo Show as a smart home camera. Securely view the camera feed remotely from the Alexa app or other connected devices linked to your Amazon account.
Set up an Alexa intruder alert as a routine in the Alexa app.Tap More > Routines > +, > set the intruder alert routine to turn on/flash lights, play music, or have Alexa issue a verbal warning. The alerts may startle home invader or cause them to think someone is home. You need to contact authorities on your own.
And if you have multiple speakers, you can drop in on your devices at the same time. For example, if you have an Echo Show in your kitchen and an Echo Dot in your basem*nt, you can start talking on both of them. Just say, "Alexa, drop in on all devices" to get started.
Using two Echo devices in the same room can be helpful for music playback and similar tasks. Choose the correct room and tap Continue. The app may then ask for the exact location of your new device to help with local weather and traffic.
The person receiving support only needs one Echo or Alexa-enabled device in their home to use Alexa Together. However, for the best experience, we recommend placing devices in rooms throughout the house.
Frontpoint Home Security: Best for simple voice control
Much like Vivint, the Frontpoint skill's primary compatibility with Alexa is related to control of smart home devices like smart lights, the garage door, smart locks, and your smart thermostat.
Alexa asks you to confirm if this was the sound of glass breaking or an alarm. Alexa then asks if this is an emergency situation. You can also drop in on your Echo and listen to the surrounding area for any noise in case someone has broken in.

Can You Set Alexa to Record Conversations? Alexa's default settings record all interactions you have with the device at any time. So it's critical to know Alexa can record conversations, but only after using the wake word. Thankfully, you can go into your Alexa app and access settings to change your preferences.
Say "Alexa, set an alarm for 10:45 am today" or "Alexa, set an alarm for 8am tomorrow." Or ask for a recurring alarm to sound off every day, specific weekdays, or every weekend. ("Alexa, set a recurring alarm for 7am every Monday.") To set an alarm from the Alexa app, tap the More icon and select Alarms & Timers.
Before you can enable Alexa Guard, you must make sure you've added at least one Echo device to your account, which you do through the Alexa app. After that's done, open the app on your device and tap the More icon. Go to Settings > Guard and select the Set Up Sound Detection button.
