Are the Viking River cruises a good deal at 2 for... (2024)

We had a great time, I highly recommend this to anyone first timers in Europe. yes its safe, but you do have to be caucious like everyone else has to, not to walk the dark roads alone, and keep your most money on you. Passports locked up into your suitcase.

I wanted to tell you that A friend we went with suggested this, which to me made a lot of sense. She bought us one each for each suitcase. She gave us two big brown plastic bags that fit garbage in. Once we arrived and took out our clothes, she suggested we put our luggage inside it with the locks in our suitcase and then twisty tie them, then place them under the bed. When the trip is done, you take out your suitcase which we did and threw out the plastic bag. You know what they were used for? Not to bring back bed bugs from the carpets in the room. The last time we went on a Carnival Cruise ship I bought home those nasty bugs in my suitcase could not get rid of them for months at a time. I finally did get rid of them but had to buy a new mattress they were all sleeping so close to me and my animals too.

So also another great tip is when you leave home is to take a bag of large freezer bags one for shoes that are dirty, smelly old worn out used panties, and socks, so that when you get home you can throw them all into the washing machine, and leave your other clothes without them.

For women, I suggest that you use a fresh pair of panties on the plane ride, wear a light pad for the crotch. Men this is not for you, you don't have one, so that the next day of arrival you will have fresh smelling panties without the liners, just incase you dribble or dab out of the hiney.

IF you roll all your clothes you do not need to check the bag in, that way you can fit 6 blouses and 4 pairs of pants, 3 pairs of shoes and 7 pairs of panties, and a afternoon light jacket. I never check in a bag. I still had enough room for two magazines my jewelry box to keep me happy and don't forget the support hose for both MEN and WOMEN. to stop the legs from cramping.. If you are out on the cruise ship.. tell them you want to drink before bed time Quinine water that has a salt of magnesium in it to prevent cramping at night. but drink a lot of liquids during the week of travel. Before you leave, put a bit of Vicks Vapor Rub inside your nose, not to pick up a cold from anyone, with that recycled air.

Any other questions, just ask me, I will tell you the truth.. I highly recommend the Rhine Getaway and the tour with the coo coo clocks, which was a cost of 89.00 extra a person, its a lot of fun. Have fun too, that's what you want and not watch the tv or the tube that will wreck your vacation on whats happening at home, when I am on vacation I don't want to know whats going on at home. Have a great vacation.
