Emilia Clarke will not be appearing in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Yes, she may look incredibly convincing as Queen Mera of Atlantis but that role will reportedly once again be played by Amber Heard in the upcoming DCEU sequel.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomwill arrive in movie theaters on December 25, 2023. It was initially set to release in theaters on March 17, 2023. However, due to the restructuring going on at Warner Bros. Discovery, it was one of the many DC projects that got delayed.
What’s more is that the future of Aquaman, Mera, and the rest of the characters is uncertain because, after the movie comes out, the DCEU will have evolved into the new DC Universe.
