According to the Fortune Global 500 list in October 2022, Walmart is the world's largest private employer, with 2.2 million employees, and one of the world's largest corporations, with annual revenue of $570 billion. The Walmart Effect is the economic impact experienced by local businesses when a large corporation, such as Walmart, opens a location in the area. The Walmart Impact is typically manifested by the continued eviction of smaller retail businesses and the reduction of wages for competitors' employees. For these reasons, many local businesses are opposed to Walmart store expansion into their territories. Walmart's investors top priority stakeholders: Profits are the primary concern of investors. They want Walmart to make more money, which will result in higher dividends or earnings per share. In this regard, investors are also interested in lowering the company's operational costs. Lower costs usually result in higher profits, which benefits Walmart's investors. Walmart's internal stakeholders play a crucial role in the development and execution of its strategies. The key groups in this case are members of the leadership team, employees, and shareholders. Walmart's leadership team is divided into two subgroups: Executive Management and the Board of Directors. The President and CEO and Executive Vice President are the top two titles on the Executive Management team. The company has several Executive Vice Presidents in various functions (Walmart, 2021). These are crucial individuals who set the company's direction. Walmart's institutional shareholders own a significant portion of the company's stock and thus have significant sway over its strategic decisions. Similarly, the public has invested in it. Even though they may be unable to call the shots, they have some degree of influence on the company. Walmart's main external stakeholders are suppliers, customers, competitors, governments, and the local community. The company employs thousands of suppliers worldwide. Trading will be nearly impossible without them. As a result, consistent communication, and support for them is critical for Walmart. Walmart serves approximately 220 million customers and members through its thousands of stores and eCommerce websites in numerous countries. It does, however, consistently receive low ratings in customer satisfaction surveys. This is a serious issue that must be addressed immediately. Customers may lose interest in the company if this is not addressed. Walmart stakeholders can be classified according to their common interests. These stakeholder groups are also prioritized differently, depending on the company's beliefs and policies. The following are the principal stakeholder groups considered in Walmart's corporate social responsibility strategy, listed in order of importance to the company: Investors, Customers, Employees, and Suppliers.
