The law does not lay down an hourly minimum wage because the number of hours in a working week can differ from one business to another. The law lays down a minimum monthly wage for everyone in full-time employment. The amounts stated below for the hourly minimum wage are therefore only indicative.

The amounts of the hourly minimum wage are indicative. Your employer must base the payments on the full statutory minimum wage per day, week or month. Rounding the total may not lead to your receiving less than the statutory minimum wage.
Calculation of the minimum hourly wage for part-time employees
If you work part time you can work out your minimum wage as follows.
- Take the minimum wage per week.
- Divide it by the number of hours in a full working week.
- Multiply the result by the number of hours you work per week.
