Not only have prices been on the rise across the country, many of your favorite products are getting smaller.
Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of Purchase-based PepsiCo, hasannounced that consumers will be getting five fewer chips in a bagof Doritos.
A company spokesperson says they need to cut somewherebecause of inflation.
Instead of charging you more, they'll give you just a little bit less - goingfrom a 9.75oz. bag to a 9.25 oz. bag.
Analysts say while five fewer chips doesn't sound like alot, savings will add up for Frito-Lays. Spread over 200 million bags of chips, the total amount saved couldbe upwards of $50 million.
