Standard Bank Group was the leading banking service provider in South Africa in terms of assets. In 2022, the assets owned by the bank reached around 170.9 billion U.S. dollars. FirstRand and Absa Bank followed, with assets of around 98.8 billion and 84.7 billion U.S. dollars, respectively.
