More than 95% of thepassengers transiting SIA are oninternational flights, mostly boundfor markets in North America andEurope. Of the more than 2.7 million stopover visitors toJamaica in 2019, approximately 70%used SIA.

MBJ is owned by Desarrollo DeConcessiones Aeroportuarias S.A.(DCA), a subsidiary of Mexico-basedGrupo Aeroportuariodel Pacifico(GAP), with a 74.5% interest, andVancouver, Canada-based VantageAirport Group, with the remaining25.5%. MBJ’s two shareholdersmanage 21 airports in five countriesaround the world between them,GAP with 12 in Mexico and Vantagewith nine across four countries.
