8 Supercars That Can Be Your Daily Driver (2024)

We petrolheads love supercars. They’re quick, they’re nimble, they’re light, they’re fun. However, they’re not really good daily drivers.

Take a look at the 458 for example. It has an RMR layout which most supercars uses which means that it needs the trunk to be placed in the front. Now that makes the trunk really small which is not exactly what you want on a daily driver. However, there are now some supercars that you can daily. I gathered up the Top 8 Supercars That You Can Daily Drive.

1. Ferrari FF

You can daily drive a Ferrari now, yes. As a successor to the 612 Scaglietti, the FF needs to be an absolute daily-capable Ferrari. The 612 is really good as a daily car. However, it’s not as good as a wagon or a hatchback and it’s not 4 wheel drive so you can’t drive it on dodgy conditions. The FF? It uses a shooting brake shape (based on the Ferrari 456 GT Venice and the 250 GT Drogo) which gives more luggage space on the back. The rear leg room is absolutely fantastic for a car that can do some astonishing performance. Anything else? The FF is powered by a 6.3 liter V12! That V12 produces 660 PS (485 kW; 651 hp) at 8,000 rpm and 683 N·m (504 lb·ft) of torque at 6000 rpm.

2. Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Another Ferrari. Another V12 Ferrari. Another front engine Ferrari. This is the FF’s coupe brother. It is more sporty looking than the FF but because it is front engined, there is still a lot of space on the back. This is the successor to the 599 GTB. I’ve driven a 599 GTO and spent a week with it and I’m absolutely astonished by both its performance and practicality. Rear leg room? Not as good as the FF but it still can fit an adult on there.

My fanboyism have kicked in! The Porsche 911 Turbo S. Why Turbo S? Why am I specific? Because the Turbo S can do 0-60 in 2.8 seconds (my own test). The Turbo S is powered by a relatively small engine compared to the other ones on this list. It is a turbocharged 3.8 liter flat 6 that produces 560 PS (412 kW; 552 bhp) @ 6,500 rpm and 700 N·m (516 lb·ft) @ 2,100 rpm (750 N·m (553 lb·ft) overboost) of torque. With a top speed of 198 mph, this is a supercar. This is an R4 layout car. However, it still has some decent rear space and a pretty big trunk. It is also subtle so you won’t get too much attention with this car. And it’s AWD too so you can drive this thing under any weather.

4. Aston Martin Vanquish

After a flat 6 VW Beetle, let’s move to a more proper supercar. Here’s an Aston Martin Vanquish, the current flagship car of Aston Martin. And this car is available as a 2+2 so you can fit 4 people in there which makes it great for daily driving. There are a couple of drawbacks on the Vanquish and one of them is the ground clearance. This car is an FR layout car which gives more space on the trunk because it’s on the rear and not the front.

5. Mercedes-AMG GT S

The Baby SLS. This is also one of the smaller engined ones. OK, this is the Mercedes-AMG GT S. It is the second car that is completely produced by AMG (The first one is the CLK GTR). And I also said that this is the smaller engined ones on this list because this one is powered by a 4.0 liter twin turbocharged V8 that produces 375 kW (510 PS; 503 hp) @6250 rpm and 650 N·m (480 lb·ft) @1750–4750 rpm. The GT S is also an FMR layout car which again, gives more space on the back. And with a top speed of 190 mph, this thing has some serious stuff in it.

OK,this has an RM4 layout which is less than ideal for a daily car. However, the trunk is larger than what I expected it to have. The car also has some decent amount of storage in the back. The AWD makes it absolutely delightful if you want to drive it on snow. And its glorious naturally aspirated V10 that produces 610 PS (449 kW; 602 bhp) and 560 N·m (413 lb·ft) of torque and a top speed of 205 mph, this is up there with the other supercars.

7. Chevrolet Corvette Z06

“The C7 is not even a sports car”, “no, it’s not a supercar”, “it doesn’t deserve to be on this list”, “bwah, bwah”, “quack, quack, no, no, blablablabla”. That’s exactly what’s on your mind right now, right? Just because the Corvette is American doesn’t mean that it has to stay in the muscle car category, okay? Now, the Z06 is powered by a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 which makes 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. It also has Rotocast A356T6 aluminum cylinder heads, a removable roof panel, seven-speed Tremec manual with rev-matching technology or a Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, a removable carbon fiber roof panel, uniquely calibrated SLA-type front and rear suspension design, standard Magnetic Selective Ride Control dampers, standard smart electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD) integrated with Electronic Stability Control and Performance Traction Management systems, Michelin Pilot Sport P285/30ZR19 front and 335/25ZR20 rear tires. This deserves to be on this list and it deserves more love. The C7 Z06 is a bargain for what it’s capable of doing. With the top speed of 186 mph, this stands with the other guys in the group. Is it practical? FMR and a huge rear space, yes.

8. Dodge Viper

This is another car that deserves more love. Just because it has only 640 bhp from an 8.4 liter engine, doesn’t mean that it’s complete garbage. However, with that 640 bhp, it has a top speed of 206 mph and 0-60 in the lower 3s. It is also a manual only car. You don’t get that on Euro supercars anymore, do you? And it has an absolutely brilliant sound. Is it practical? Well, the mpg rating is quite crap because of its big engine. If you’re not worried about that, you’re in for a treat. The TA 2.0 package gives you a new aerodynamics kit for more downforce so it’s more planted to the road. Trunk? Pretty huge and the interior is also very spacious.
