This is one of the busiest seasons of the year if you are a shop owner or entrepreneur. Between Black Friday / Cyber Monday and all the holiday sales, there’s a lot of pressure to stand out from all the noise and reach your target customers.
Creating eye-catching graphics is one way to ensure that your audience notices what you’ve got going on and that they get excited about your offers!
Luckily, there are hundreds of images in the Haute Stock Library that members can use to create polished and professional looking graphics in minutes! It doesn’t have to take forever and a day to find beautiful holiday imagery, or to create graphics that are both on-brand and attention-grabbing.
Here are some of our tips for the types of graphics you can create this season to help you get your sales and promotions noticed by the right people! All examples were made using Haute Stock’s Pink & Red Holiday Collection.
1/ Newsletter Graphics
One of the best ways to increase sales is to send promotional offers to your mailing list. Having an attention-grabbing image in the body of your newsletter is a great way to increase your click-through rate. Don’t go overboard with the imagery, which could affect the deliverability of your email — one or two strategically placed images are all you need to make an impact!
Be sure that your eye-catching newsletter graphics link to your sales page or product listings and get straight down to business! This not only brings traffic directly to your promotion but it also cuts down on searching because really who has time for that when a great deal is on the table?!
2/ Instagram Stories Graphics
Instagram stories are a great way to reach your audience while they’re scrolling through their favorite Instagram feeds. The fast nature of these posts means that it is important to make a bold statement with these graphics in order to get people to want to know more and take action!
Make sure that you include a call to action or a hashtag that tells your audience how they can find out more information about your promotion.
3/ update your website & shop headers
Your website headers and shop headers should remain just as relevant as your other social media posts. This is commonly the first thing viewers will see when they arrive at your page, which makes it the best place to advertise new arrivals, new courses, or any current promotions that you have going on.
Header graphics can also serve as a sneak peak for what’s to come in order to build some hype around new holiday events or products that will be arriving soon. Anticipation and excitement is all a part of the game during the holiday season!
4/ social media posts
Consistency is key! You want to be rolling out a set of promotional graphics that are cohesive as a whole (choose images with a similar theme) and you’ll also want share these graphics on different social media platforms that you use.
If you don’t have any specific holiday sales planned for your business but are as excited as a kid on Christmas day with these new holiday images (trust us, we are too!) then you can also create seasonal graphics for holiday blog posts, quotes, e-courses, recipes, tutorials, etc.
5/ Facebook Ads
If you’re looking to get that extra edge or to reach a wider set of people then paying to run Facebook ads can be a good option.
Facebook ads really come down to minimalism. You want to create graphics that make your point in a quick and short way yet still look gorgeous. 6/ update your pop-ups & opt-ins
Pop-ups and sidebar opt-in graphics can help make sure that no one misses out on your promotions or new holiday content. These types of graphics will reach those people who may have missed your amazing news on their overloaded feeds.
These graphics are meant to lead to clicks so always include a call to action to make sure you’re getting the desired traffic!
7/ product listings
Give your festive invites, products, or event promotions the holiday treatment they deserve! Quickly mockup one of Haute Stock’s stationery images with your own creations or take advantage of images with white space and drag and drop your designs into those!

8/ BONUS IDEA: Create a GIF
Everybody loves a good gif! Combine a few images (like we’ve done in the example below) to create a dynamic graphic! Gifs can be posted on your blog posts or newsletters. You can also save as a video (mp4 file) to post as an Instagram Story!
