3 Ways God Works Supernaturally in Our Finances - Lauren Prezzano (2024)

Have you seen God work supernaturally in your finances? I believe we serve a God of abundance and increase, but many of us never experience this in our finances. One way we can begin to see God work supernaturally in our finances is by first aligning ourselves to use our money wisely.

God doesn’t bless us so we can keep it all to ourselves, He blesses us so that we may be a blessing to others. (Genesis 12:2) We must prove to be faithful with the little, long before we can receive much. (Luke 16:10)

Below I am sharing with you 3 ways God works supernaturally in our finances.

3 Ways God Works Supernaturally in Our Finances - Lauren Prezzano (1)

1. He Increases the Little

We see God do this over and over again in the bible. One well-known account of this is when 3 loaves of bread and 5 fish feed 5,000 plus people. God can supernaturally turn a little into a lot.

I am sure if you think back through the years you can think of times when God miraculously stretched your few measly pennies for you. I could give several examples of when I’ve seen this take place in my life, but I’ll start with this one.

When I was in my early twenties and I had just started teaching full-time, I would sporadically tithe every now and then. I wasn’t attending church regularly, but I learned the principals and importance of tithing throughout my childhood, so I’d give to a local church every so often.

I kid you not, and I’m sure you’ve seen the same to be true in your life, the months I was faithful to give were the months I seemed to have the most money. It makes no sense that when we give, we receive, but it is a supernatural promise from God. Give and you shall receive. (Luke 6:38)

2. He Rewards Good Stewardship

I first noticed this when my husband and I were transitioning to one income. It was a time we knew we needed to become serious about budgeting.

We drastically reduced our grocery budget, and I was bound and determined to make it work. A few weeks in of being extremely diligent with every dollar I spent, I visited one of my favorite grocery stores which is known to not have sales because their items are already priced as low as possible, well low and behold; several of my go-to items had this new tag I had never seen before that said, “new reduced price for this item”.

I knew it was God rewarding our good stewardship with our finances. He grants us wisdom in this area and is looking for us to be faithful with everything He blesses us with.

3. He Grants Us a Peace that Surpasses All Understanding

Finances are known to be one of the greatest stressors in our lives, but as Christians, we don’t have to live this way. We can allow God to fill us with a peace that surpasses all understanding even in unthinkable situations.

We can trust full heartily that our God will provide all of our needs just as He promises to in His living Word. We don’t have to live in bondage to the things of this world. We can instead trust that our needs will be met even when it looks different than we expected.

Many of us face financial difficulties, whether it be trying to live on one small income or being hit with unexpected medical expenses, but we can live with peace even in these moments. God is for you and is capable of filling you with unexplainable peace even in impossible situations.

God is Working in Your Finances

One key to this is to not try to reason it all out in your head. We don’t have to have all of the answers. God works in miraculous ways in our finances, and we just have to trust in Him.

This doesn’t mean we don’t have a part to play, because I believe we do. Begin to align your life accordingly by giving as God calls you to give and stewarding your money well, and then allow the peace of God that surpasses all understanding to overtake you.

If this is an area of weakness for you, lay it before your heavenly Father. He is faithful to forgive and revive anything in our lives the enemy has taken from us. Don’t be afraid to admit a weakness to the Lord. God wants to see you excel in every area of your life including your finances. We must believe this with all of our hearts.
