150 vs. 210 (2) Just to muddy the waters further...... My Canadian built '57 210 has no stainless VIN plate on the drivers side windshield post as do American built '55 - '57 Chevys.

Rather, it has an embossed aluminum plate riveted to the firewall to right of center...... GM of Canada, Ltd. which has a serial number for the car and the engine number stamped into it.

The serial number consists of all numbers beginning with 710196***** and has no mention of 'A', 'B' or 'C' code for model identification. The engine number matches the number stamped into the pad on the cylinder block.

There is also a separate aluminum tag having codes for paint, interiour, etc. but as near as I can tell, the codes differ from the codes on trim tags for American built '57s.

Best regards,

Harry
