One of my favorite things is completing cheap DIY home decor projects for my home! Nothing amplifies a space like something you created with your own two hands. When I look around my home, I have a huge sense of pride from all the home upgrades I've done that look like I paid someone to do them!!

I'll share some fun projects of my own on my site soon, but in this post, I've listed some of the cheap DIY home decor projects I've done in my home and I've included some of the items I personally used to complete the projects!

1.) Large Framed Chalkboard

I've created this awesome chalkboard frame in both the kitchen and in the mudroom area. I made one with a grey border and the other with a dark brown, espresso border. You'll want to use the Polyurethane over either wood stain to ensure it is sealed and gorgeous!

3.) Moroccan Stencil Wall

This is an actual wall in my home. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out and I get compliments on it constantly. It really elevates the room, makes it look expensive, and everyone thinks it's wallpaper!!

4.) Floating Shelves with Hardware

You can get most items from Lowe's or Home Depot for this project. The stain I used is below.

5.) Frame a Bathroom Mirror

This is a really easy cheap DIY Home decor upgrade you can do in a day. Take your builder's grade mirror and add wood pieces to give it an upgraded look! Home Depot and Lowes will even cut the wood to size for you if you ask nicely. Then, all you need to do is stain it and add a polycrylic. You can then glue it to the standing mirror and upgrade your space in minutes!

6.) Wood Floor Mirror

I built these to put in several rooms and they are amazing! Lowe's and Home Depot can cut wood to size for you if you ask nicely, like I mention above.

This is the most gorgeous little tray! I absolutely love mine and it fits a home so beautifully! You can even leave it out in a guest room or coffee table since it's such a beautiful decor piece!
