One of those perks is up to $400 in annual statement credits toward Dell purchases made in the U.S. The $400 is split up as a statement credit for up to $200 for purchases between January and June and another credit for up to $200 for purchases between July and December.
You must register for the statement credit before use.

What won’t trigger the credit
Know that Dell doesn’t sell its own gift cards directly, and you cannot use the credit on international transactions and purchases made via the international contact center, global events, Dell Financial Services, Dell Outlet for Home, Dell Outlet for Work, Dell Partner Direct, Dell Premier, Dell Premier Connect, Dell Premier Select and authorized retailers.
Maximizing your purchase
Before shopping, make sure to register for the Dell statement credit. While on the American Express website, also check your Amex Offers to see if your Amex Business Platinum is targeted for an Amex Offer on Dell purchases.
The terms may specify that you need to make the purchases through dell.com/amex, so you’ll probably want to use that link if you’re using an Amex Offer. However, if you aren’t targeted or find a better offer, you can instead click through a cash-back portal such as Rakuten (which can earn you American Express Membership Rewards points) to maximize your purchase.
You could also maximize your return by booking through an airline portal offering bonus miles for Dell purchases, such as United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines or Southwest Airlines. The payouts change occasionally but generally offer 1 to 2 miles per dollar spent. You’ll also want to check if any portals offer bonuses for hitting a certain spending threshold.
Bottom line
The $200 Dell credit will soon reset for 2024, so be sure to use the credit by the end of the year.
